• Something You Can Read Now

Check out this super-rad book trailer for Shred or Dead by D. Bradford Gambles! It’s skateboarding noobs versus cosmic warriors.

Packed with unforgettable characters, mind-blowing action, and more twists than an X-Games street course, Shred or Dead is the story of four weird kids with a chance to become legends… if they don’t garf it up.

Get it here or your local shop.

  • Something You Can Read Soon

Wait, what? Another excellent book trailer. The folks making these trailers have really upped the medium. He’s a fish out of water, but he’s about to make a big splash!!⁣

The first book in the hilarious new graphic novel series from Dan Santat is available on 4/14/26.

Preorder here or your local shop.

  • Something You Can Get In The Mail

(This one is more for the grown ups) Shout out to cartoonist Roger McMullen for sharing this WSJ story about Christine Tyler Hill who makes 14K a month mailing out her zine. I went down the rabbit hole on her Instagram and can see why she’s found an audience. She’s really good at finding joy in the overlooked and mundane things of life. And it’s nice to have a physical connection with things. Something you can’t get from online.

The Gnarly Ghost (Drew Shields). I love Drew’s colorful and cartoony variety of fantasy and future art. The worlds he creates looked lived in.

    • Talking About Storytelling

Check out Digital Spaghetti, it’s Patreon CEO Jack Conte interviewing YouTube creators about their process. It is so informative and engaging.

It’s not specifically about comics but so much of the information is universal. You are getting a peak into the minds of creators who are phenomenally at how they communicate their ideas and captivate attention.

“It is not the divulgence of information, but the withholding of information that makes storytelling effective.” Check out this short video with Odd Animal Specimens talking about storytelling.

      • Cool Toy Cars

Okay, also not comics related but I love these modular toy cars. They are not from some giant company but rather a couple of friends who had an idea and are making it real. I love the creativity and enthusiasm that has gone into this.

They are not available yet, but I’ll be following along for when they are.
