1. Grumpy Monkey animated
David Probst Jr. animated Grumpy Monkey over on his Instagram. Pretty crazy what awesomeness some folks do in their free time.
Behind the scenes. See how he did it.
2. Something You Can Read Now
Sugar Shack, the latest in Lucy Knisley’s Peapod Farm series, just came out. If the slice-of-life genre is your kid’s jam, these books are the pinnacle.
The stories revolve around city kid Jen, who has moved to the country with her mom, along with her mom’s annoying boyfriend and his 2 daughters. They are about navigating relationships while trying to figure out your own place in the world.
3. Ham Helsing Board Game
Rich Moyer’s delightful Ham Helsing graphic novel series has been turned into a game.
4. From Graphic Novel to Novel
For any parent who is worried their kid ONLY reads graphic novels, this reel is for you.
5. SOOO many graphic novels to choose from
If you are not actively using your local library, you are missing out!
6. Favorite Thing I Drew This Month
It’s the cover for Hullabaloo! I can not express to you how excited I am for kids to read this. I received the promo edition from the printer last week and I’m mailing out copies this week. It turned out so good. The creators really knocked it out of the park.
Have you signed up for our email list? We are going live on Kickstarter this month!
As always, thanks for reading. Got a book, artist, or comic oddity you’re loving right now? Hit reply and tell me about it, I’m always on the lookout.
Until next time,
-Josh
