6 Great Finds for Comic-Loving Kids

I’m so glad you’re reading this! While this newsletter is written for adults like you, it’s really for kids—your readers, your students, your own kids.

Each month, I share the best kid-comic (and adjacent) things I come across: great books, fun creators, cool news. You might enjoy a lot of it yourself (I do!), but the real magic happens when you pass it on to the young people in your life.

So read, enjoy, and share the good stuff!

1. Bone Gets Animated (A Little Bit)

Check out this short video from animator Tom Bancroft (The Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast).

Thirty years ago, Tom created a flipbook based on Jeff Smith’s Bone. It’s just been re-released as part of a special edition set. The animation is short and fun. Make sure to watch until the end for the tablet version.

      4. Actress Kate Micucci Draws on Everything

You might know Kate Micucci from The Big Bang Theory, DuckTales, or Don’t Think Twice… but did you know she’s also an artist?

I just found out she likes to draw on things. Who needs paper? The world is her canvas. It’s playful, joyful, and reminds me of Keith Haring with a Sharpie.
